Theresa completed a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology in 2010. In 2015 she completed a Record of Achievement in Thanatology. She has also completed Vigil Training with the Sacred Dying Foundation and is currently a psychology Phd student with the University of South Wales.
In July 2016 she will complete a course in pre- and perinatal death in order to understand how to further support families who have lost their babies. She recognizes how important grieving infertility is in her work with adoptive families.
We all grieve in our own way and this takes not only time, support but sometimes also ceremony.
In September 2016 Theresa will assist therapists in understanding how to support those they work with when dying and death shows up in the therapy healing space.

Theresa can provide counselling services to families as well as officiate ceremonies to grieve infant loss, and celebration of life ceremonies for other family members. Ceremonies can take place in funeral homes, rented halls or family homes where possible.
She will meet with family members to learn what aspects of the ceremony are important to celebrate the life of their loved ones. This can include reading from sacred texts, music, poetry, photo/video clips and story telling.
